The Times they are a Changin’
Meteorological Summer begins today and when you walk out the doorthis morning it will feel very fall-like. In fact, as of this writing we are seeing lower 40s in many of our western suburbs. These cool temperatures are a result of some clear skies which will in turn help us warm-up into the mid 70s today.
Winds will also be lighter today which will help the fire relief in parts of central and eastern OR.
The payoff is despite the cooler temperatures lately, we are headed for a prolonged stretch of hot weather just in time for the holiday weekend with temperatures pushing 90 degrees plus. Above average conditions should persist into much of next week.
**Sidebar: We concluded the month of August with average temperatures and below average rain.

Bertie Higgins does the best version of that song, and you know it.
