- I’m a weather nerd
- We are smack dab in the middle of Hurricane season
- A tropical storm warning has been issued for the Yucatan peninsula – a spot I will be vacationing in 2 months
Here’s the scoop –
Igor – A monster. Category 4 hurricane that may be strengthening again! A series of US low pressure systems will eventually curve Igor more to the north, but I am a little concerned about the Island of Bermuda. Igor is a very large hurricane and Bermudians should monitor very closely.
Julia – Will be a fish storm and unless you’re a fish, or on a dingy – without radar in the middle of the Atlantic, I wouldn’t be too concerned.
Karl – Headed for my spot in Mexico, time is not on its side and should likely remain below hurricane status – as a tropical storm.
