TUCSON – Rain, moderate at times hit much of the region on Sunday.
Rainfall amounts ranged from 0.25 – 0.75″ adding to Tucson’s Winter water surplus.
Rain will taper off from west to east this evening, but with extensive cloud cover temperatures should only bottom out near 50 degrees.
Monday will feature scattered showers throughout the day, however, rainfall amounts will be much lighter than what was observed on Sunday. Highs Monday will be below average and only top off into the low-to-mid 60s.
Tuesday looks dry and cool before another, colder, system moves through the area with lower snow levels. Exact timing and rain/snow amounts are still a bit unclear but should come into better focus soon.
Behind the mid week system will be some very cold nighttime lows. Readings will be at or slightly below freezing for much of the area both Thursday and Friday morning.
