Get ready for some very hot temperatures across southern Arizona over the next few days.
A strong ridge of high pressure will build into the area and will escalate temperatures to 105+ for Tucson and the western Deserts. Please have a plan to remain cool during the remainder of the week.
While it will feel uncomfortably hot, moisture will also be on the rise and this should kick-start some storm activity in our skies. This could finally be the trigger which begins real monsoon weather.
Storm chances are in the vicinity of 20% by late week but any moisture surge could enhance these chances greatly. We’ll be watching the trends closely.
