Well we finally hit 110 degrees in Tucson today for the hottest day of the year. This was good enough to tie the record also reached back in 1998. Too hot!
But hey, it’s storm season after all and Mother Nature looks to be put some finishing touches on more active weather.
Dew points are already on the rise and deep moisture is surging into Arizona as seen from the graphic below.
Right now it looks like late Wednesday into early Thursday morning could be fairly active with scattered to numerous thunderstorms. Latest computer charts show the most action into Cochise and Santa Cruz County early in the day, but a quick push to the north would put much of Metro Tucson under the threat of storms late Wednesday.
