For the second time this summer, the City of Tucson reached 110 degrees on Wednesday.
This ties for the hottest temp seen all summer long. It also breaks the daily record of 108 degrees set back in 1930.
While the past few summers we’ve certainly seen hotter temperatures, this summer has an inordinate amount of 100 degree days in the 105-109 degree range.
Excessive heat will move out of the State as moisture moves in, enhancing storm chances for the remainder of the workweek and into the weekend.
Next week looks hot and dry again with one caveat: Tropical Storm Ivo has formed and is forecast to track to the NNW early next week. Depending on its track, this Storm could add substantial storm chances for us next week.
A lot can change between now and then but we’ll be watching this feature closely over the next several days.
